Daily Duties at Gaston Memorial Hospital:
Assessment, planning, and intervention of the critical care patients. Co-ordinate the care of 1,2, and sometimes three acute care patients. Monitor lab results, assess hemodynamic state and intervene by using critical care assessments and thinking skills. Management of critical care patient on ventilators, titration of multiple intravenous medication drips, and assessment and intervention of patients with a swan ganz catheter.
