Daily Duties at Centra State Medical Center:
To ensure that the hospital was in compliance with the two Regulatory Agencies, College of Pathology (CAP) and the New Jersey Department of Health, I performed proficiencies testing on unknown samples sent from these agencies. Identified and oversaw the completion of all clinically significant microorganisms. Used the Vitek-2 to set up sensitivities for antibiotic treatment. Performed clinical toxicology using gas chromatography and HPLC for drug screenings and to monitor patient’s treatment on therapeutic drugs.
