Daily Duties at Washington State Ferries Wsdot:
• Successfully led overall safe and efficient functioning of the Ferries, while also coordinating and communicating regularly with WSDOT headquarters, OFM, the Governor’s office, the Transportation Commission and the Legislature • Oversight and leadership of projects, goals and work plans of other departments, including Safety, Security, Emergency Mgmt, HR, Budget and Program Development, Operation and Communications. • Project Oversight and Steering Committee member for major capital projects (security, terminals, vessels) over 10 year planning phases and within 2 year active project implementation. Successful mgmt of project team, minimizing scope creep, project element prioritization. Kept abreast of regulatory issues and development, Communicated extensively with clients, stakeholders, legislators, headquarters and affected communities. • Maintained continuous alignment of program scope within constant changing objectives, made modifications recommendations as needed. • Mentored new project managers and program development teams on interworking of WSDOT leadership, WSF operations and security and community stakeholder relationships. • Built credibility, established rapport and successfully communicated and coordinated efforts with stakeholders, communities and user groups. Active Participant and Resource to WSF Ferry Advisory Committee (FAC), WSF FAC Executive Council, WA State Transportation Commission, WA State Legislative Transportation Committee, WA State DOT leadership
