Daily Duties at Ibew:

• Manage IBEW pension, Metro and company parking programs, health care, dental, vision, TASC flex-spending accounts, medicare reimbursements, compensation, banking, retirement programs domestic & international internally for HR and Payroll. • Monitored payment of all employees and retirees for IBEW pension and Medicare 1099R. • Process and overseen the company payroll processing and benefits for the US and Canadian employees thru ADP Pay Expert, Ceridian and ADP HRB system. • Use strategic planning to recommend and implement benefit plans that are appropriate to our culture, add value that are cost effective, and competitive in recruiting and corporate benefits such as STD, LTD and Workers Compensation plans. • Provide technical expertise and proactive administrative guidance to monitor and maintain competitive positioning by advancing and scaling HR procedures and programs to keep pace with our rapid growth. • Act as a main point of contact on escalated/resolve HR related issues, retirement, pension, benefits and payroll issues that may arouse within the office setting. • Administered all HR, labor unions grievances, and banking and benefit procedures with sensitivity to cost effectiveness in the business unit. • Oversee hiring, training, unemployment and worker’s comp claims, benefits, employee discipline, handle employee complaints, grievances and disputes, and developed and administer HR policies and procedures in the office setting. • Supports business leaders in interpreting company goals and results, and collaborates with these leaders to develop plans to address employee feedback. Collaborates with the HRBI team to ensure administration of the HR guidance. • Accountable for talent planning and management for the client, in fulfillment of the HR Plan. • Identifies HIPPA regulations that drive employees and delivery of local programs for the staff population, following direction from the CEO regarding line and organization HR programs responsibilities. • Designs and delivers talent review discussions, ensuring the managers / business leaders has opportunity to review, discuss, and drive development for this talent pool in hiring. • Collaborates with HR Leadership to design talent planning solutions that will fulfill the HR Plan and serve the business. • Supports delivery of People Review for the business through research and delivery of inputs to the performance review process for employees. • Coordinates people planning and movement, in collaboration with business leaders and HR leaders. • Coaching senior leaders is required on Human Resources policies and guidelines. Consults with client on execution of re-organizations. Develops change management plan, manages communications and announcements. • Coaches leaders on talent selection, managing impacts to individual employees. Manages re-deployment and force reduction. • Execute reductions and employee communication per program, coordinating with legal and mitigating risk where appropriate. • Supports HR-related communications rollouts for client ensuring that client is prepared to address HR programs and processes with accuracy and following the HR calendar. • Collaborates with appropriate internal program leaders, addresses employees concerns proactively, and ensures business compliance with HR programs. • May have accountability for horizontal work across the organization (e.g. driving HR program rollout and execution across the organization). • Ensures the organization follows HR policies and regulations, as well as local workforce laws. Ensures business leaders are making decisions and taking actions that are in accordance with them. • Accountable for partnering with the Finance, Payroll and the HR team. • In conjunction with our benefits administration, assist leading the annual open enrollment process, annual review, and work due process for plans in the local 2 and 26 union contracts. • Monitor market trends related to benefit plans and designs and recommend changes to senior executive management board. • Participate in benefits surveys and maintain flex and café plans, benefits, and employee relations issues and settle grievances. • Responsible for 50 federal, local and state with -holding tax filings, form 9901, 990T, 5527,1041-A, CT-1 for Railroad, 945A, 940 and 941 federal tax filings, and 5500 annual filings for HR, Payroll, Finance, and health and welfare plans to ensure that filing is submitted in a timely manner according to IRS regulations. • Responsible for 401(k) annual discrimination testing. Ensure that filing is completed and submitted in a correct and timely manner according to ERISA and IRS regulations for qualified plans • Ensure all plan documents are kept up-to-date and in compliance and that all employees are provided with appropriate documents and materials in a timely manner. Responsible for benefits information on the company intranet • Carries out administrative work involved the HR, payroll and pension functions, maintains and safe-guards related records. I.e. prepares and processes forms for personnel actions and requests.
