Daily Duties at Response Genetics, Inc.:

o Manage 10 direct employees o Reports biomarker testing results to client physicians for appropriate diagnosis of chemotherapy treatment o Review patient demographics to insure proper entry into the laboratory database. (per CLIA standard) o Review client information to insure proper entry into the laboratory database. (clinical trials) o Distinguish between normal and abnormal test results. o Writes SOPs o Insures SOPs are being followed o Implementation of LIMS o Review histology and Microdissection documentation to insure accurate records. o Review, analyze and summarize test results utilizing various laboratory computer programs o Maintain clinical and internal documentation file. o Comply with safety procedures. o Responsible for hiring, training, and supervising all QC technical, QC non-technical staff and trainees o Provide analytical support to various departments including Client Services, PCR, Microdissection, Accessioning, and Research & Development. o Documents and communicates lab results correctly and concisely. o Makes recommendation for process improvements to management. o Works on assignments that are routine in nature where ability to recognize deviation from accepted practice is required o Normally receives no instruction on routine work, general instruction on new assignments. o Generates and records appropriate data, performs analytical calculations and completes necessary documentation of analyses performed. o Liaison for clients (clinical trials for GSK, Abbott, NeoGenomics, Pfizer) o Ensure company standards as outlined in quality control manual are effectively implemented o Ensure adequate corrective measures are implemented in cases of noncompliance. o Communicate with other managers about project management and implementation o Oversee project to ensure deadlines are met in a timely manner
