Daily Duties at Watch Guard Technologies:
I was brought in to be a change agent tasked with transforming the sales support team into a revenue generation inside sales team. The team started with 13 members directly in the inside sales team and 6 global inside sales reps. My territory was the Americas that consist of US, Canada and Latin America. I also has responsibility to train and support the EMEA and APAC inside sales reps. Through efficiencies, training, and tools, I was able to reduce the team down to 10 inside sales reps for the Americas which drove cost savings and representative growth. I was accountable for the Americas quota, it was a roll up of all of the territory teams that I managed. When I started, my quota was just over $9 million per quarter and ended at $16.5 million per quarter. I also carried the department budget and was heavily involved in negotiating my budget with the VP of Sales and the Controller. skills: -Develop, execute, evaluate and refine aspects of sales strategy, sales process, and work flow -Provide day-to-day sales leadership of inside sales and field sales teams -Monitor performance of sales representatives for metric achievement -monitor and analyze customer buying analytics to recommend/ design optimized customer solutions, sales campaigns, messaging, and offers to drive high quality leads -Hire, teach, and develop sales talent and teams - Plan and communicate changes in product, processes, policies and/or procedures -Develop and deliver business operational reviews -Facilitate and act as a liaison between sales and other departments -Direct the coordination of sales initiatives requiring facilitation of efforts across teams -Managed $1.5 million dollar department budget
