Daily Duties at Applied Biosystems:
• Set-up and maintained Oracle 9 on Windows 2000/XP platforms which was required to run Aurum Customer Enterprise for database synchronization. Used HP-UX and SqlBase to resolve technical issues relating to database synchronization. Ensured remote accessibility to sales and service departments • Created hard drive images using Symantec Ghost Cast Server 7.5 • Performed diagnostics on field computers using WebEx, ensuring a quick resolution to issues for roaming users • Responsible for asset management (laptops, desktops, palm pilots, printers) using Lotus Notes asset database and SAP. • Created cyber cafés, setup network access and print servers during annual sales and service conferences • Assisted in the configuration and deployment of Aurum Customer Enterprise software • Created local databases, managed user accounts with permissions for remote and network access, and provided general data cleanup tasks
