Manager of 33-person legal and compliance team, allocating $4 million budget, directing legal matters, and creating effective risk management policies. Oversaw all mortgage lending (purchase money, home equity, home improvement), SBA lending, auto lending and student lending legal issues. Ensured success of full range of mergers and acquisitions, finance, treasury, and capital markets transactions. • Manager for all mortgage lending compliance and licensing functions for The Money Store (pre-merger). • Served as legal advisor in senior management committees. Lead a department of 16 attorneys and 17 staff members with budgetary responsibility. Advised board of directors on preparing strong merger; managed post-merger transition and resulting spin-off operations.
