Daily Duties at Fona International:

 Managed a research project characterizing flavor chemical/chewing gum base interactions utilizing Hansen Solubility Parameters to decrease costs associated with the “trial and error” flavor formulation method, collaborating with a multi-disciplinary technical team  Managed a research project characterizing food base components with Linear Solvation Energy Relationships utilizing Inverse Gas Chromatography to increase FONA’s understanding of food base and flavor chemical interactions, especially regarding encapsulation technology  Explored PVAc encapsulation alternatives with HME to control flavor release in chewing gum  Performed research with FBC to achieve controlled flavor release in chewing gum  Conducted group training sessions and presented two technical presentations on research work
