Daily Duties at Standard Technologies, Inc:

I am a government contractor reponsible for the miltary's Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems at Naval Health Clinic Hawaii (NHCH). In this role I manage a mid-level clinical facilty at five different geographic location on the island of Oahu, Hawaii with regards to the effective use of the patient electronic healthcare record (EHR). I am tasked with teaching software systems like AHLTA, CHCS, Dragon NS, AsUType, Essentris, HAIMS, MDET to the nearly 700 healthcare workers seving over 70,000 active duty sailors and marines and their dependent families. I am the command's project lead for training and implementation of all medical record processes and procedures and serve as the defacto Director for Clinical Informatics. This job represented a promotion of my past responsibilites as i was now in charge of all the Clinical Information Systems used by our healthcare providers. As the Head of Clincical Informatcs I was responsible for leading a mid-sized team towards multiple goals, to include: Data mining, clinical databases, mapping architechture and administration. I am accountable for the Clincal Informatics Department with respects to training, sustainment and usability of the Electronic medical Record for our 700 users. I have experience in this role with Management Consulting as a hands-on Project Manager and my responsibilities include: -Technical and managerial ledeship -Performance reviews -Build and maintain relationships with clients, IT leaders and vendors. -Resource planning -Analysis of organizational needs -Working with subject matter experts -Working with Senior Clincal Analysts -Joint Commission (formerly JCAHO) and HIPAA -Recruitment of Clincal Champions, expert staff, and retention I recently managed a project to bring a new system online called HAIMS - Healthcare Artifact and Image Management Solutions. Reponsibilties included: -Arranging logistics of projects -Recruiting training team -Responsible for 100% training completion within one month -Sustainment of HAIMS after training team departed -I successfully arranged for over 500 users to attend classroom training -I successfully arraanged the training of 200 users with Over The Shoulder methods -The project was a complete success and is now incorporated into the clinical workflow process of all clinics at Naval Health Clinic Hawaii.
