Daily Duties at Humana:
Clinical Nurse Advisor 12/2011-06/2013 • Responsible for reviewing pre-authorization requests for providers and Medicare members for their medical needs • Reviewed nursing documentation by following the CMS and Humana guidelines and criteria • Determined whether case would be approved or denied for Medicare members • Used Milliman for non-Medicare members to determine whether the case would be approved or denied • Mentored and trained other nurses on Humana policies and procedures • Followed CMS guidelines using the NCD or LCD criteria
