Established and/or improved the computerized accounting systems for small sized businesses. Proposed better streamlined operating processes resulting in time and cost savings to companies; Performed accounts payable and accounts receivable functions; Met with Senior Management on a weekly basis to discuss operating results and cash flow; Trained staff on accounts payable and accounts receivable procedures. Created Procedure manuals for daily accounting functions; Set-up the reporting of division, product, and job- profitability. Trained staff on generating reports on an ongoing basis; Prepared and reviewed department journal entries for monthly close and commission calculations. Analyzed general ledger accounts; Investigated and resolved discrepancies on all general ledger accounts; Trained management on ADP payroll processes including downloading data from a remote time clock, reading timecards (where errors occurred in download) and posting payroll to general ledger accounts; Prepared general ledger for submittal of Financial Statements, electronic books and records to outside CPA firms for the preparation of company income tax returns; Prepared Annual Form 5500 for Pension Fund contributions and disbursements. Contacted employees regarding account balances and any impending forfeitures.
