Daily Duties at Ambassador Enterprises Llc:
As Controller and part of the Executive Committee, I report directly to the General Manager. My job oversees all financial aspects of the Ambassador Hotel and the Ambassador Inn and insures compliance to Management’s policies and procedures. This includes overseeing the General Cashiering duties, Accounts Payable, Sales and Use taxes and Accounts Receivable as well as creating and implementing the policies and procedures of the hotel. I advise top management in various financial decisions and assist in budgeting for all departments. In addition, I complete the month-end journal entries in preparation of the Financial Statements. My duties also include analyzing the Financial Statements as well as other financial decisions such as budgeting, obtaining a new credit card processor, deciding on various fixed asset options, and determining which vendors to employ. I also have extensive knowledge in food and beverage operations and am actively involved in menu pricing, budgeting, purchasing, receiving and inventory. I also am involoved in sales and marketing and serve as Manager on Duty based on a rotation schedule.
