Lead staff auditor for small financial, financial related, legal and federal compliance audits of state government agencies. Lead auditor at one of the state agency components of the annual statewide financial opinion audit. For the statewide audit, this meant completion of detail and internal control audits of selected financial accounts at assigned state agencies. For other audits, included end-to-end audit project management responsiblities including client relations, scope and objective development, internal control assessment, audit program planning and fieldwork execution, and issue vetting and draft audit report creation. Most of the non-statewide audit projects were ether as the sole assigned auditor or the lead auditor of a team or two staff auditors under the direction of a Senior (in-charge) auditor.

What they like about Oregon Secretary Of State Audits Division:

You give high priority to hiring firms with prestige. Market reputation and prestige of a firm may be determined through on-line research, and conversations with individuals working in your target industry. Note that firms "in the public eye" receive a great deal more critical publicity and attention than those operating with more anonymity. So as you assess your employment opportunities, be sure to seek out the positive aspects of the firm's reputation in addition to noting negative publicity the company may have received.
