Global Business Public Affairs Leader 2007-2010 • Marketing Communications for Dow Performance Fluids and Dow Polyglycols and Surfactants. • Responsibility for all advertising, web sites, industry trade events, internal communications, media relations, and business management communications for this one billion dollar specialty chemicals portfolio with numerous new product introductions. • Created top read advertisements for CHEMICAL ENGINEERING and CHEMICAL PROCESSING magazines. • Issues management programs include palm seed oil sources for chemicals, and chemistry for aircraft deicing fluids. • Manage rumor control over business sales and employee communications for a divestiture. Since then, the addition of the minor league team has been viewed as an enormous positive. • Led the Employee Advisory Committee and facilitated the Citizens Advisory Committee. • Participated as a media guide during the company’s annual shareholder’s meeting and even faced “The Yes Men” on company property.
