Daily Duties at Navy Federal Credit Union:

• Lead the development and expansion of the branding and corporate image through mainstream media, external social networking/social media outlets (e.g. Twitter, Facebook, You Tube, etc.) and emerging media tools to improve company brand recognition. • Lead a team of five in public relations efforts. • Managed the PR outreach monthly budget and vendor coordination. • Credit Union representative to Social Media.org. • Monitored day-to-day PR activities, problems/issues, communications and coordinate with various media to provide timely responses and/or recommendations for improvement and timely resolution. • Assisted the Manager, of Corporate Communications and developed a PR strategy and assisted in crisis communications planning, developed and executed PR programs to align with our company’s mission, values and vision. • Oversaw Navy Federal’s social media presence across the web to include: expanding our company social media strategy, responding and taking action in response to web posts; creating an evaluation system measuring branding exposure, and maintaining/expanding Navy Federal’s existing presence on network/social media sites. • Collaborated with other lines of business to leverage public relations and social media usage and to respond to new market trends and needs for Navy Federal products and services. • Created PR/social media campaigns and innovative ideas that align with corporate marketing strategy.
