Highlights: ♦ Oversee the capital requirements of the hospital and 12+ child facilities by reviewing projects, submitting for approval, tracking expenses, closing projects, capital flow forecasting, and reporting on CAPEX variances. ♦ Responsible for continuous updates of capital projects, cash flow, and process improvements. ♦ Analysis to determine capital versus operational expense, and review expense accounts for capital items. ♦ Developed, implemented and maintained web based reporting portal that allows hospital directors and department managers access to biweekly and monthly financial and payroll reports as needed. ♦ Drove process to create and develop database platform used to support monthly financial review processes and automate the journal entry process. ♦ Instrumental in developing and using SOX compliance templates that allow for constant monitoring of compliance and regulatory issues while meeting stringent government regulations and oversight. ♦ Served as member of team credited for reducing annual expenses by $11M by analyzing all services, labor costs, and products and recommended alternatives that reduced operating costs. ♦ Created a journal template that consolidated and tracked all balance sheet accounts, ensuring all accounts were reviewed every month and variances tracked accordingly. ♦ Lead transformation of department operations, standardizing work processes and procedures, thus maintaining data integrity and ensuring consistent results across all accounting functions. ♦ Assist in preparing Medicare Cost Report and Federal and State tax preparation ♦ Manage capital improvement budgeting, tracking, and disposition. ♦ Member of a three person team charged with preparing and monitoring budgets for all entities.
