Daily Duties at City Of Wilmington:
-Oversee $4.7M annual IT budget -Manage staff of 38, including Telecom, Network, Help Desk, Application Support, Mapping & Graphics, Wen Management, Document Management -Support 600+ desktop users in 10 City locations -Serve as Board Chair, City of Wilmington IT Governance Board consists of Department Directors. Mission is to exercise approval authority, oversight, and review of major IT projects and enterprise-wide IT policies to ensure the highest level of customer service and fiscal responsibility. -Serve as Committee Chair, IT Change Advisory Board Committee oversees discussion of requested changes. Members are encouraged to provide feedback on Requests for Change (RFC) to ensure Director of Division of Integrated Technologies (DoIT) has adequate information to approve or deny an RFC. -Serve as member of the Multi-State Information Sharing and Analysis Center Attend yearly GFIRST conferences presented by the Department of Homeland Security. • Work with Director of Emergency Operations on the City’s COOP (Continuity of Operations Plan). City performed a tabletop exercise Fall 2012. • Serve as member of Public Works Steering Committee. Committee oversees IT discussions. Work with sub-committee to bring City 311 citizen information request for a call center, website, and mobile application to the City.
