Responsibilities California Rehabilitation Center for Substance Abuse Treatment Program The social worker works with male and female civil addicts and felons with different culturally different backgrounds. The role of the licensed clinical social worker is to developed /organized/ implemented and manage two types of substance abuse treatment programs a long program on the enhanced treatment unit called “therapeutic community” and a short program called “limited placement program”. The social worker develops organizes, implements and manages two Inmate Peer Education Programs one for male felons unit and the other for female felons unit. The social worker organizes a graduation ceremony for inmates who became peer counselors twice a year, organizes yearly health fairs for male and female units, and publishes monthly news letters Inmate Peer Education Programs. The social worker is in charge of discharge planning for psychiatric homeless felons, seeks housing and gives referrals. The social worker administers psychiatric screens for new admissions males / females and psychological testing for development delayed inmates. The social worker supervises university students and inmates, delegates tasks to peer inmates and completes inmates time card. orgainzed three programs
