Daily Duties at Center For Nanomedicine And Cellular Delivery:

Promoted to tenure track faculty position within the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences and appointed Co-Director of Nanomedicine Center to provide scientisfic leadership and establish and implement research programs in nanomedicine and drug delivery across oncology and other therapeutic areas. Expected to lead education and outreach activities, establish industry and regulatory agency partnerships for drug development and commercialization. I was responsible for investing 50% of effort in academic research and grant writing, 25% in teaching in the Pharm D/PhD curriculum and 25% on other service. Maintained a research lab of three postdoctral fellows and 5 graduate students. Implemented 5 different projects in the area of drug delivery applied to various oncology areas. Taught a Pharm D class of 160 students and a graduate class of 15 students.
