Daily Duties at Ntt/Verio:
Co-managed the installation, administration, and maintenance of an international web-hosting platform spanning six continents which included over 1,500 servers with minimal staffing. Directed and implemented a platform migration for a 50,000+ user community. Executed the distribution of patching and updates to remote servers until an automated solution could be put into place. Co-designed an Active Directory forest for all server groups and instituted processes for upgrading and patching with minimal employee intervention. Proposed and implemented Microsoft Operations Manager to effectively monitor system operations and to effectively deploy countermeasures in case of external attack. This also resulted in lower response times for the systems administration team and a smaller call volume for administrators during off-hours.
