Daily Duties at Bank Of America:

• Preparation, submission, and follow up of non-scheduled jobs with emphasis on successful execution, correct input and when necessary assist input/output control on problems that may occur. • Coordination with users and programmers to accommodate special JCL overrides, extra input data sets, and additional scheduling of jobs which may be necessary for daily processing • Processing of production exception requests. • Rerun or restart the abnormal ending of jobs, scheduled and non-scheduled, verifying jobs start in the correct order, correct input files have been used, and any files updated by the abnormal ending step have been restored. • Coordinating with programmers, users, or any necessary personnel in dealing with abnormal job endings and implement any appropriate instructions for rerun or restart needed. • Document detailing descriptions of abnormal job endings, system outages, system slowdowns, using the appropriate reporting system, including Information Manager (Infoman) problem ticket resolution. • Trained in the use of Veritas Netback 5.1 for monitoring servers and job activity. • Trained in the use of the Netbackup Runbook for any issues that may occur. • Currently a Document Coordinator within the Batch Operations Environment • Creating and reviewing Process Maps for daily and nightly processes within Batch Operations.
