Daily Duties at A Plus Benefits:
Responsible for all environmental, health, safety regulatory matters of Parent Corporation and 602 clients, including clients in construction, surface mines, industrial and health facilities. Assisted with clients’ OSHA, DOT, and MSHA compliance. Responsible for reducing worker’s compensation premiums, reducing Experience Modification Rate to lower than or equal to 1.0, and conducting risk assessments on new clients. Directed training classes in OSHA compliance (10 and 30 hours), forklift classes, CPR classes, hazardous materials classes, First Aid classes, and more. Developed, implemented and managed safety programs, management systems and training programs. • Organized and coordinated all OSHA required medical management and surveillance programs for personnel on-site, such as: audiometry, pulmonary function tests, and hands-on medical check-ups. •Successful in reducing the EMR/EMOD for 74 companies to 1.0, or fewer than 1.0. •Worked directly with Liberty Mutual’s loss prevention department to reduce EMR rates in companies. •Pioneered successful “return to work” program, which constituted relaying job and duty descriptions to healthcare providers so they could accurately judge appropriate time frame for employees to return to work after incidents. •Awarded Utah Safety Council’s Certificate of Merit
