Daily Duties at Datum Filing Systems:
• National account strategy and communication/implementation with internal and external accounts • Lead team of Account Managers and Independent Representatives at the different locations of the country. • Primary ownership of the sales and customer service function. • Met annual targets for accounts and overall territory. • Identifies and creates relationships with key decision makers; purchasing, engineering, management, etc. Coordinates relationships with extended team and key customer contacts internally and externally. • Develop and implement yearly growth strategies. Identifies and submits customer growth opportunities and potential product changes. • Coordinates with sales management and marketing (across regions if necessary) on price negotiations and terms as part of the growth development responsibility. • Monitors competitors and competitive activity. • Coordinates technical service/product marketing activities: identification of growth opportunities. • Complaint Resolution • Forecasting, Planning and Sales Funnel Management • Technical Product Knowledge • Develop/maintain strong working relationship with accounts and strategic partners. • Support and routinely participate in field coaching activities of the sales team • Oversight and analysis of sales commissions • Drive ongoing new business development activities • Responsible for hiring, training, on-boarding, coaching, developing, and motivating and, if necessary, terminating sales staff • Lead ongoing sales training staff development, and weekly team and one-on-one status meetings • Develop the skills of the sales team (e.g., prospecting/networking, probing, presenting, closing, and follow-up skills), including articulation of sales goals • Implement and monitor motivational/self-improvement programs (to include industry certifications for self and staff) • Direct and monitor/review the daily activities of all regional salespeople • Personally sell key accounts • Ongoing relationship management and retention activities • Supervise and participate in local industry/business conferences and shows • Interface with Operations Managers to provide support and insight • Periodic review and follow through on commercial collection efforts • Establishment and enforcement of office policies • Understanding of financial budgets and ability to drive Region’s progress towards established objectives • Review and analysis of financial and management reports
