Daily Duties at Defense Threat Reduction Agency:
• Devise and implement innovative managerial techniques and technical applications in order to meet mission needs. Leading a division of over 70 people with 14 Ph.D. researchers and scientists. • Direct diagnostics device research and clinical trials for the DoD Chemical-Biological Defense Program, participating in Agency task forces, meetings and committees. • Establish open communications throughout DoD components, other government agencies, international and industrial partners, creating Integrated Product Teams. • Institute operating policies and standards to ensure research and development activities are scientifically sound and meet operational, environmental and diplomatic requirements, managing a budget of over $100 Million annually across more than 30 development projects. • Develop business case evaluations to enable value added partnerships and industry participation
