Daily Duties at Ing Americas:

• Maintained the General Ledger including journal entries and balance sheet account reconciliations. • Prepared financial statements and other financial reports, including the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial packages for the real estate department. • Prepared state sales tax returns and corresponding reconciliations. • Monitored capital projects requests and maintained related depreciation records. Updated and maintained the fixed asset records. • Assisted in the development of the annual budgets. • Recorded, classified, and summarized accounting transactions requiring knowledge of accounting policies, procedures, and systems within the department. • Compiles invoices, verifies their accuracy, making sure that they gets proper authorization for payments within accordance with established procedures. • Selects correct accounts; post and verify balance, debit and credit entries; reconcile accounts; maintain journals and ledger; compiles internal control reports. • Respond to inquiries, check accounting transaction to locate and resolve discrepancies, follow up with vendors on a timely manner. • Maintained real estate credit card data base. • Initiated wire transfers with ING Accounts Payable. • Initiated stop payments and proof of payments to internal customers and vendors.
