Daily Duties at Minnesota Department Of Revenue :

• Conduct audits and review Estate and Fiduciaries returns so that the correct amount flows through to the individual beneficiary’s income tax return, and that the liability is in full compliance with department quality standards, as well as Minnesota and Federal estate tax laws. • Effectively communicate audit assessments/results and provide recommendations to senior management for evaluation with customers. Provide technical, administrative, and educational assistance by responding to inbound tax law inquiries from all customers. • Provide feedback concerning issues arising during an audit and seek out possible solutions by examining root cause analysis. Seek out process improvement opportunities which require drawing up proposals in order to implement future changes to forms, instructions and existing legislation relative to Fiduciary or Estate taxation. • Use current auditing tools and technology in order to enhance services and deliverables in a timely manner. • Perform other task and responsibilities as required or assigned, so that projects or assignments are accomplished by established deadlines and within the scope of the assignment.
