Daily Duties at Eden Bioscience Corp:

• Responsible for the implementation, and maintenance of quality control systems and activities including SOP writing, deviations, report review and personnel training • Played a key role in supporting critical manufacturing activities, analyzed data, and provided critical input for non-conforming technical reports and Out of Specification (OOS) investigations/ anomalous test results • Developed methods and procedures to ensure quality control goals were obtained and assured finished product conform to SOP, company standards and met GLP regulations • Study director for Method Development and Validation of test method using RP-HPLC technique that was used as a primary method for EPA registration for the main product Messenger® using GLP and ICH guidelines • Served as study investigator for various projects and coordinated with production, research, QA and Regulatory Affair department to ensure that EPA deadlines were met to support commercial product • Managed method transfer and validation activities of HPLC methods and SDS-Page assays and worked with senior scientists to develop, optimize protocols for QC • Performed quality testing on incoming materials, and final product in accordance with material release schedules with primary responsibility of ensuring that the QC laboratory met GLP/GMP/21CFR standards • Investigated and addressed issues with product performance and stability of reference sstandard characterization, resulting in increasing manufacturing efficiency and higher quality output • In charge of various instruments calibration-4 HPLC instruments (HP 1100 Series), binary and quaternary pumps and different detectors by troubleshooting, routine, and non-routine maintenance • Performed Operational Qualification/Performance Verification (OQ/PV) on two of the HPLC’s and reviewed vendor contract equipment and proposal for IQ, OQ, PV maintenance schedule reducing the cost by 50% compared to previous years • Involved in troubleshooting alternative HPLC analytical methods for proteins in support of process development and product release and budgeted for purchase of additional HPLC’s in the company • Microbiology: monitored the growth, characteristics, and effects of bacteria and other micro-organisms to better understand the main product. Tested for E-coli, salmonella, shigella and vibrio • Member of safety committee, participated in health and safety investigation related to complaints from employees about their workplace and safety issues • Provided job growth, wrote annual performance and coordinated QC daily assignments & Media Department • Supervised, hired, trained analysts, scientist in various methods and instruments and handled multiple project in a timely manner
