As an associate, I was responsible for the day-to-day activities of handling lawsuits on behalf of multi-national pharmaceutical and medical device companies. I handled discovery responses, answers to complaints, depositions, hearings, witness preparation, expert witness development and drafting legal motions. As a senior associate, I was responsible for mentoring younger associates, serving on firm committees and managing paralegals and other support staff. I also managed to convince an attorney in Detroit to hire me as his local counsel in a conveyor belt accident case. I also handled premises liability cases involving allegations of failure to provide adequate security messaures.
