Daily Duties at Community, Works And Independence, Inc. (Cwi):

Managed and Directed: (a) 18 staff members, consisting of 12 direct care staff (non-degreed), 3 Client Specialists, 3 Applied Behavior Specialists, and 3 on-site Licensed Practical Nurses (BS level clinicians); (b) Managed 3 distinctive day habilitation programs with 60 enrolled clients attending (15% of all clients served within the agency) – one program was high functioning with challenging behavioral issues aged 20-50, one program with high-functioning young adults aged 24-40 and able to successfully integrate into any community environments and one program with more frail and older, aged 45-65. The daily impact to CWI was three programs maximized in units and receiving daily state Medicaid funding, generating $10,000 of revenues to the agency on a weekly basis, which equated to about $2.25 million annually from my programs alone – Day Habilitation Programs were the largest departmental service the agency provided, which was 40% of an annual agency budget of $30 million; (c) Coordinated on a weekly basis with other departments: Finance & Accounting to accurately monitor revenue (budget monitoring); Transportation and Residential Homes (facilitate and monitor travel and time logistics); Human Resources (payroll, unit attendance numbers and recruitment/interviews when and where necessary to backfill positions); Purchasing for maintaining supplies and resouces on hand; and Information Technology to maintain and update computer networks for staff and clients alike.
