Investigated medical claims by contacting the workers’ compensation insurance company to verify claims and submit bills for auditing. • Submitted appeals for reconsideration, pre-authorization, medical necessity and additional payment for appropriate disbursement. • Researched claims to determine how claims were processed and to verify the first report of injury to ensure the claim is processed correctly. • Verified payments by logging into the hospital database to assure correct payment amount was received on the correct claim. • Created Excel spreadsheets to log patient medical records and documentation. • Entered patient information into a database in order for client representatives to maintain claims in a timely manner.
