Daily Duties at Apalachee Center:
Responsible for secretarial/clerical functions to include; reviewed over 100 client files daily, record for completeness, accuracy and compliance within agency regulations. Wrote the doctor‘s prescription in the client’s records and returned records to the file room. Organized and kept track of three cabinets; managed and controlled prescription drugs in controlled environment; making sure no bottles had expired and properly disposing drugs. Reorganized client’s medications that were held for them; to pick up at their next appointment. Copied medical records for clients applying for disability or social security benefits. Able to prioritize and organize multiple tasks. Recorded lab results on log sheet that were faxed in on a daily basis and faxed the results to the Primary Care Physician. Answered telephone, transferred calls to appropriate personnel. Maintained a high level of confidentiality of client records complying with Medical Records Management Regulations, Apalachee Center Policies and the HIPPA Act.
