Daily Duties at Best Buy:
I was given the opportunity to become General Manager at the Princeton, NJ location the based on the ward winning performance in Bridgewater NJ where we where the top performing store 9 months out the first 12 months of that store opening. Princeton was a 75 million annually store vs. 35 million in Bridgewater. My responsibilities as General Manger include; managing 120 - 175 direct reports, developing strategic business plans to grow revenue and margin, as well reduce expenses. Supervise assistant manager team through regular inspections, formal and informal performance meeting and provide guidance to ensure expectations are met or exceeded. Create a customer centric environment through company directed and store initiated training programs. Ensure a safe and secure work and shopping environment by adhering to company policies. Deliver regular performance feedback through quarterly one on one's and annual performance reviews. Full P&L review completed monthly with action planning to enhance outcomes. Create and execute leadership development programs to provide future leaders. Engage in feedback process with district/regional and corporate teams to ensure timely feedback on company programs, employee and customer feedback. Develop team synergy across disciplines. Collaborate with peer group on local issues to ensure alignment and consistent experiences throughout the market place
