Daily Duties at Dots, Llc:

responsible for managing all aspects of a 24/7 Computer Operations department within our Home Office, New York office, remote user and 400+ store polling environments including network infrastructure, Windows server and desktop environments and IBM As400 / iSeries. Ensures effective planning, organizing, prioritizing and delegating assignments to direct reports and team members. Through continual analysis of the workload and personnel needs of their team(s) and organizational unit, meet deadlines. Responsible for team results on quality measurements, including on-time delivery, meeting deadlines, and adherence to policy and procedures. As Computer Operation Manager I was responsible for overseeing an Ops team that consisted of 2 3rd shift Operators, 2 PC Technicians, 1 PC/Network Technician and 1 Network Administrator. I also worked with and trained a new intern every six months. I also managed all contracted / outsourced resources we used for support of our day to day operations - these included a team of Cisco engineers for installation and configuration, Team of Customer Service Engineers in charge of all Server Hardware Support, a team of Telecommunications Engineers for tier 3 Phone system support, and printer support technicians at corporate and the NYC Branch Office. I was also managing and coordinating the onsite Service Engineers that we utilized to support our NYC Merchandising Branch office. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Responsible for maintaining the Microsoft Windows Server Network for peak performance and efficiency Responsible for maintaining the iSeries/AS400 environment. Ensure a high degree of customer service and corporate technical support for all home office, laptop and remote users. Establish and ensure appropriate levels of security are maintained for all systems. Ensures accurate and timely day-to-day computer processing and reporting. Responsible for researching, purchasing and the installation of all hardware and software needs. Strategic partner in the evaluation of current and future business needs. Manages or participates in all system implementations and upgrades. .
