Daily Duties at Toyota Material Handling Group:
● Analyzed and formulated longitudinal reach truck vehicle dynamics, weight transfer and wheel loading under changing acceleration profile to improve the truck stability conditions during operation ● Created and validated a mathematical model using MATLAB to simulate the reach truck mast vibration and its influence on wheel loading and truck stability during acceleration ● Implemented control algorithms developed by Raymond for truck stability into the MATLAB simulator and analyzed the resulting truck performance ● Examined currently owned patents by Raymond regarding the stability of material handling trucks and utilized patented algorithms in the truck stability simulation and control ● Created a test device and designed a test procedure to accurately measure the stopping distance of Raymond’s pallet trucks ● Analyzed, improved and drafted technical documentation for the preexisting stopping distance simulator for Raymond’s 8x10 pallet trucks through examining its theory, assumptions and algorithms ● Investigated, summarized and reported customer warranty claims on Raymond’s 8400 series pallet trucks in order to better understand and meet customer expectations ● Modeled currently used hydraulic cylinders in Raymond’s reach trucks using Pro/E for documentation purposes ● Advised a reselection of stainless steel pins for the 8000 series pallet trucks for better durability and performance
