Daily Duties at Heico Aerospace/Mc Clain International :

As Senior Process Engineer I plan, coordinates and performs process design tasks; works with occasional supervision from department heads; and oversees project activities, such as process simulation and improvement. The engineer also interacts with computer hardware and software; provides periodic data to supervisors; and establishes goals, plans and work schedules. Senior process engineers review an organization's operating mechanisms, test process effectiveness and ensure that business systems meet operating requirements in the short and long terms. They also work with production personnel and department chiefs to improve operating processes. As Repair Manager 7:00am daily I meet with Direct Reports and Team Leaders to review the Visual Status Board that was created to track all repair components movement from incoming to stock or shipping to customers. This visual status board was successful because each team member was responsible for moving the color coded magnet that has the part number and customer on it. Before I introduce this lean process components would sit and not priority which meant longer turn times. Along with above, review repair and new part action items list, review documentation, monitor daily sales, review action item priority list.
