Daily Duties at Genco Distribution:
Ensure smooth, efficient, and profitable inbound and outbound distribution center / warehouse operations, evaluating and implementing facility strategies that align with overall corporate objectives. Satisfy budgetary, volume, and customer needs through skillful labor planning and resource allocation involving a team of 150 hourly associates, 12 Team Leaders, and 6 Supervisors. Meet departmental / facility performance metrics and complete all necessary reports and records in a timely, cost effective manner. • Provides leadership to assigned personnel through effective objective setting, delegation, and communication. Conducts regular meetings to ensure that personnel are well informed of changes in policies and procedures. Discusses areas needing improvement. • Identifies, develops, and implements training programs as appropriate. • Conducts performance appraisals. Provides measurable feedback to assigned personnel and suggestions for improved performance. Formulates and implements employee corrective actions as needed. • Ensures that staffing levels are appropriate. Interviews, hires, and assigns personnel as necessary.
