Daily Duties at Xerox Corporation:
Next Generation Infrastructure (NGI) - Implemented NGI (Next Generation Infrastructure) Back office strategy and global program which resulted in a multi-million dollar cost saving initiative for Xerox Corporation. The program introduced consolidations of hundreds of IT Sites into (3) major Global Hub Implementations with state of the art SAN Infrastructure. Core Services Hardware Refresh (CSHR) – This program introduced and an additional level of consolidations to shrink the foot print of hardware in data centers and improve levels of service with enhanced operational and D/R resiliency for the (3) major Global Hub Implementations. • Recruit Xerox staff resources, evaluate performance and define/execute staff technology education/career development programs. Managed 3-5 Xerox and outsourced program managers and indirectly supervise 20-30 outsource engineers and deployment staff globally. Refocused staff toward cost controlled management culture, transforming Proof of Concepts (POC) IT project to full enterprise scale execution with IT business management philosophies. Created job functions and reorganized roles and responsibilities within the infrastructure group to enhance efficiency and promote increase resource accountability. Provided opportunities for Lean Six Sigma (LSS) Yellow/Green Belt certification /Project management certifications training for employees to raise technical abilities in order to more efficiently run global programs. Built business partnerships with hardware/software vendors to better coordinate/execute the introduction of new technologies. Directed competitive RFP’s with Global Purchasing organization to ensure globally available hardware standards and availability for contract award. Collaborated closely with outsourced engineering resources to implement a Core Infrastructure Application suite based on global standards and stream-line architecture. Enabled monthly systems management tools for hardware and services to ensure proactive and real time alerting and reporting to improve overall levels of services. Developed enterprise class concepts and standards to bring mid-range distributed computing to Hub consolidated standards with global operational policies, procedures and performance targets. Conducted and developed Business Impact Analysis (BIA) to match business requirements for disaster recovery RTO/ RPO metrics. Developed and successfully drilled global disaster recovery plans for annual regulatory coherence approval.
