Daily Duties at Global Integrated Security:

I was hired to oversee the planning and execution of personal protective missions in Afghanistan for the US Army Corps of Engineers. In addition to these duties and responsibilities I undertook the responsibility to ensure the client was trained up on what to expect and during these missions. I started developing my own sources of intelligence gathering to better plan the missions and keep the client informed of the current situations. I developed a relationship with the co located military unit and the local Commanding Officer of ISAF forces in the event I needed military support. I would spend part of each day maintaining these relationships.

The social vibrance of a hiring firm is very important to you. Your ability to make and maintain friendships there is a critical part of your decision. You would likely be dissatisfied with a workplace that is quiet, cold, or otherwise not particularly social. When you investigate a new hiring company, ask recruiters, managers, and potential co-workers about the social life and opportunities there. This is especially important when you are relocating; moving dramatically alters your social sphere both inside and outside the workplace.
