Daily Duties at City Of Miami:

Overseeing an annual operating budget of $ 435MM, prepared line item budget and overall city budget document, interacted with department directors and key staff members, monitored and analyzed expenditures and revenues, developed management reports and managed department analyst. I was hired during a difficult financial period in the budget process of the City of Miami. The City had a budget deficit of more than $60MM and the State of Florida enforced an Oversight Board for the budget process for five years to overcome the deficit. Main challenge was to help the city commissioners and the Mayor understand how to manage the crisis to balance the budget. I managed more than 10 financial analyst for the Budget Department and provided reports to management.
