Daily Duties at Mastec, Inc. :
Served as the primary point of contact for company senior management and mid-level managers on legal issues and questions concerning transactional and corporate compliance matters vis-à-vis state and federal laws. • Managed national corporate litigation in areas including labor claims, contract/commercial, construction, administrative, environmental, civil rights, and copyright/trademark laws. • Negotiated, reviewed, and wrote contracts, including commercial leases, for various corporate departments and divisions. Engaged in advocacy and enforcement of company’s contractual rights. • Provided legal counsel on labor and employment matters. • Represented the company in EEOC and analog state agency discrimination matters. • Prepared mechanic’s liens and surety bond claims; also defended surety bond claims. • Prepared responses to writs of garnishment directed to employees and the Company and responses to third-party subpoenas.
