Participated in a 3 year post-doctoral training program with emphasis on clinical care and facilities management within the Department of Laboratory Animal Sciences. Provided clinical support in 3 key areas: Drug Discovery, Pathology/toxicology/Drug Metabolism and Transgenic Animal Medicine. Provided weekend and emergency veterinary care and support. Developed a variety of surgically prepared animal models; served as quarantine veterinarian and prosector to determine cause of illness or death; managed the murine sentinel surveillance program.
