Daily Duties at Johnson & Johnson :
Establishes and maintains Departmental Laboratory Animal Care and Use Programs that conform to PRI and J&J standards, governmental regulations and voluntary accrediting organization guidelines; collaborates with, advises and supports investigators on development and maintenance of animal models (rodents to nonhuman primates); ensures technician and investigator education and training on animal care and use issues are conducted as needed; supports the Director in establishing and conducting safety programs (ergonomics, nonhuman primate exposure protocol, zoonoses), participates on the Institutional Animal Care and Use committee (IACUC) as the Attending veterinarian; assists the Director in preparing and administering capital and operational budgets for departmental expenditures; managed a department of 14 employees
