Daily Duties at University Of Maryland Medical Center:

Responsible for sequence based typing and analysis, STR (Short tendon Repeat), for stem cell engraftment monitoring which is a comparison between Donor and recipient pre transplant sample vs. Recipient Post Transplant samples Proficient with ABI Genetic analyzer for electrophoresis and GeneMapper ID software program for sequencing analysis. Complement Dependent Cytotoxicity (CDC) Assay for Donor / Recipient Crossmatch Luminex Microbead Array assay for HLA antibody testing. T and B lymphocyte flow Crossmatch assay for Donor/Recipient crossmatch Administer extraction of genomic DNA from whole blood, bone marrow, Ficoll separated blood, buccal mucosal scrapings, paraffin embedded tissue, cultured cells, tissue biopsy or any nucleated tissue source. Proficient with agarose gel electrophoresis.
