As one of the first five executives to join this company I had multiple responsibilities, including applications for certificates of authority to write business in new states, product development, pricing, recruiting, hiring, training, managing staff of underwriters and customer support staff, information systems design and development, executing renewal rights agreements, negotiating with state insurance regulators, reinsurance treaties, catastrophe risk modeling and analysis, develop distribution channels, appoint new agents and brokers, train outside staff, contract with third party administrators and business process outsource companies, strategic planning, create comprehensive financial metrics and analytics
