Daily Duties at Lucent Technologies, Inc:
At Lucent Technologies I consulted for H. L. Yoh in telephony. My job function was Data Customer Technical Support. My role was Lead Data Engineer for the 5ESS switch. My responsibilities spanned data from the customer’s current release to a newer release, shell programming for special tools, performed and documented root cause analysis to pin point troubled areas to introduce new products and documentation which consisted of test, installation and planning for North American region. Also, I acted as special representative for my supervisor to a group of managers for the introduction of a new product called On Site Data Evolution (OSDE). Used the UNIX K-Shell to modify and develop new scripts (tools) in the aid of data evolution. Also, I used “C” programming in a realtime environment as a state machine with some overtones of assembly language programming on the telephone switch.
