Daily Duties at University Of Wisconsin Hospital & Clinics:
Responsible for safeguarding critical and confidential information, assets and intellectual property, belonging to or processed by UW Health. Members of the Security Team review and monitor systems to ensure proper security precautions are in place. Manage account provisioning, inactivation, password management, and auditing. Maintain and help implement policies and procedures for computer access, authentication, and authorization to systems. Expected to provide training and knowledge shares to co-workers, assisting in the growth of the individuals and the team. Engage in process improvement projects to improve efficiency and accuracy. In addition, engage in other security related activities, as appropriate, to ensure the integrity, availability, and confidentiality of electronic information. Competent to work independently, under general direction of the IS Supervisor, on all aspects of security management. Will at times be expected to operate under tight deadlines, and may be subject to workloads demanding work beyond their core hours to meet the need of the organization for upgrades, go-lives, and other short term projects. Core hours will be set by the IS Supervisor to meet the organization:s operational need for support. Provide security access to new and existing employees of the UW Health brand umbrella and select Meriter Hospital employees. Provide 2nd level support for computer security related issues and questions. Provide maintenance and expert guidance for the Courion automated provisioning system.
