Daily Duties at Pinal County Government:
Externed for the Assistant County Manager while a full-time MPA student. This experience was to broaden my knowledge of municipal government, specifically at a county level. I worked primarily with HR and the Medical/Mental Health Unit of the prison system, yet also met with most departments to learn their roles within the county. I was given several projects from the HR Department to update their FMLA and Sick Leave policies, as well as begin researching information for the development of a social media policy. I also assisted the medical/mental health unit of the County's prison system to revise their policies following a state audit. I worked primarily with the prison's mental health Director and the RN.
