Daily Duties at Learmonth Solar Observatory:

Commanded a 7-person geographically separated solar observatory in remote western Australia. Managed combined USAF/Australian operations providing time-critical solar activity warnings to DoD, federal, and Australian centers. Directed collection, analysis and reporting of space environmental data supporting worldwide operations, DoD communications and surveillance, missile warning, manned spaceflight, and the national intelligence community. Responsible for all operations and maintenance of $8M optical/radio solar telescopes and digital ionospheric sounder. Directly responsible for military family housing community. Managed annual budget of $500K.
