Daily Duties at Franklin Primary Health Center:
•Served as a HIV community Outreach worker throughout Mobile Alabama and surrounding areas. •Conducted the “Party with a Purpose” community event every three months in Mobile County and surrounding areas in an effort to promote HIV awareness. •Build alliances with local health organizations and community leaders and established strong working relationships in the community. •Coordinated fundraising activities and attend fundraising activities around the state of Alabama. •Recruit and train volunteers. Provided HIV counseling as well as on-site HIV testing using OraQuick or blood samples free of charge to participants. •Conducted mass meetings in poor socioeconomic communities while maintaining personal impact. •Performed HIV/AIDS awareness informational sessions in Mobile County. •Served as an Adolescence Substance Abuse Outreach Worker. •Implemented community outreach sessions in deprived communities for the awareness of adolescent substance abuse in the Mobile County area.
